Wikipedia has this to say on Lilim:
"According to The Alphabet of Ben-Sira, the lilin or lilim (singular lili) are the daughters of Lilith and Samael, engendered while Lilith was still Adam's wife. They are demons, with their function being similar to that of a succubus. While men feared them for this reason, mothers feared the attack of the lilin because they were also said to kidnap children, as Lilith herself did."

The first of my Angels/Demons Series. And it's a demon. Upon gathering ideas for this series, I've begun to suspect most of them will turn out as demons. LOL Maybe it's the dark side of me.
So she doesn't have a name yet. Ideas anyone?

Girl (Demon): is the talented and beautiful ~fashionvictim-stock, though the original doesn't seem to be in her gallery anymore.
The rest: is all ME!
Edit 8/22/06 : I just started picking at this again last night, and I like it even better as I go alone. I did a few little adjustments to the color and hue, I worked on her face just a little more, and finally I changed the shirt.

All your work is so astonishingly realistic! Are you still looking to name this one? Lily seems right in some ways, it being the flower of 6/6/6 [6 petals, 6 sepuls, 6 stamens] and unique in this ~ other flowers deal in 5's and fewer. And of course the lily has sacred connotations.
Hmmm but maybe too much like Lilith, so theres also archaic versions of the name to try... Shoshanna/Susa [the numerology was not lost on those familar with the kabala; *shosh* meaning *6* in hebrew / Susa being the place lillies first grew ~ also symbolic of beauty emerging from evil].
Then again, maybe she looks more like a *Vivienne*. heh!
